Trigg will be responsible for commercial partnerships and the commercialization of Captify’s Technology through the unification of its global sales, client strategy, and marketing teams, and will report to chief executive officer Dominic Joseph.

He formerly held senior positions at OpenX and Rocket Fuel, after similar roles at Microsoft and Yahoo, with UK-founded Captify hoping its latest C-suite executive will replicate his success at these companies by siphoning revenue from competitors.

Commenting on his appointment, Trigg said market demand for “differentiated tech solutions” particularly around insights generated by consumer search behavior are in demand from tier-one brand names including Apple, Comcast, Microsoft, and Nike.

“Captify’s ability to reveal the truth about global consumer behavior derived from the honesty of search, matched with the ability to use unbiased insights to power decisions globally for planning, media activation, and measurement, is truly unique,” he said.

Joseph added: “This is a significant hire for the group and marks a pivotal moment in our business as we project ourselves even further across the globe. He brings to the table commercial focus, strategic vision and a tremendous track record in growing ad tech companies.

“As we also get set to release multiple commercialized technology developments across the world, it’s an exciting year ahead for us.”

Trigg’s appointment marks the first of many additions to the Captify leadership team with the adtech company also announcing the hire of Toby Doig as its global chief technology officer to work alongside Glen Ames, its chief product officer, on tech and product offering recently.

News of his appointment comes the same week as fellow adtech outfit Quantcast named former Dentsu Aegis Network chief executive Rob Horler as chief operating officer, while News Corp-owned Unruly Media named Paul Gubbins as its UK programmatic lead.
