Mondelez marketer departs to lead Wavemaker’s L’Oreal account

Josep Hernandez has spend the last five years at Mondelez where he managed the media and commns strategy for brands including Oreo, Cadbury and Trident. However, he spent much of his early career at WPP, working within the agency walls of Wunderman, Y&R and Ogilvy.

Based in the Wavemaker Paris office, and reporting directly to Wavemaker global chief client officer Aaron Smith, Hernandez will lead the agency’s relationship with the global L’Oréal clients based in France.

Smith said: “Client centricity is a key strategic shift for Wavemaker, and with more than 20 years’ experience in media strategy, brand planning, insights and digital transformation across agencies and advertisers, Josep brings all the seniority and expertise we need to deliver for our largest global client.

“He has led some of the most successful marketing cases not only in cosmetics but also in CPG with Danone, Nestlé and across other sectors such as technology and finance, for Microsoft and Citibank and we are incredibly happy to welcome him back to WPP and Wavemaker.”

Wavemaker was formed in September 2017 with the merger of MEC and Maxus.
