Cryptocurrency platform Monaco taps former Prudential exec as new CMO

Cryptocurrency platform, Monaco, has announced a series of new appointments to its senior management team, including former Prudential chief marketing officer, Sean Rach as CMO.

Former Prudential chief marketing officer, Sean Rach joins Monaco as CMO.

Founded in June 2016, Monaco build technologies like its Monaco Visa card and mobile app, which allow users to buy, exchange, and spend fiat and cryptocurrencies, such as bitcoin and ethereum, at perfect interbank exchange rates. The company is headquartered in Switzerland with offices in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Rach joins Monaco from the insurance giant, where he championed the development of integrated marketing solutions for Prudential's businesses in Asia. Prior to that, he held various roles at Ogilvy and Mather in various countries, where he served clients like American Express, Western Union, BlackRock, SmarTone, and IBM.

In his role, Rach will be responsible for promoting Monaco’s global brand and building the company’s credibility with key stakeholders to establish the company as a thought leader and innovator in the industry.

“Monaco has an unrivaled value proposition for card holders. Joining the leadership team of Monaco at this stage of development is very exciting and I look forward to applying my experiences to expand the brand globally,” said Rach of his new role.

Joining Rach at Monaco, will be Erald Ghoos as chief operating officer, Ken Baylor as chief cybersecurity officer and Dr. Weiyi Zhang as platform architect.
