Indian Intelligence Bureau (IB) has directed troops stationed at the international border to uninstall 42 Chinese apps, namely WeChat, Truecaller, Weibo, UC Browser and UC News, among others, as they fear cyber espionage by the Chinese.

IB claims that the China is using apps to steal sensitive data which poses a grave threat to India's security as reported by Zee News.

China already toppled Indian smartphone makers with strategic innovation and marketing, which further brings them under scrutiny of IB. IB frequently warns the Line of Actual Control (LAC) troops to be wary of using Chinese smartphones.
