MediaCom selected as MetLife's new media agency of record

MetLife announced that MediaCom will lead all media planning and buying in the US.

After a six-month review, the GroupM agency was selected to cover all of MetLife’s business lines in the US, including retirement and income products, property and casualty, and group benefits.

Hugh Dineen, MetLife’s senior vice president and US chief marketing officer said of the announcement: “As we continue to transform marketing at MetLife, it is important that we have a partner who can drive a holistic and strategic view of all media, continue to challenge and push our thinking to new levels and make an impact across all our lines of business. The team at MediaCom impressed us with its leadership and vision to move our business forward and best-in-class capabilities that align with our needs.”

Incumbents MEC and Merkle will transition off of the business, and MediaCom will start buying duties as of January 1st, 2018.
