PPA rewards The Drum’s online presence as publication takes three awards

The PPA handed out its awards in Scotland last night (23 November) with three going to The Drum, including recognition for its online presence amongst those.

The annual publishing awards, this year held in Edinburgh, saw deputy editor Cameron Clarke named as Feature Writer of the year, while commercial team leader, Tehmeena Latif won Rising Star and Digital Presence also went to The Drum as well.

Stephen Lepitak, editor of The Drum, commented: “A massive congratulations to the whole team, especially to Cameron and Tehmeena on their individual awards after a stand out year for both. It’s especially gratifying that our online work was recognised as that truly is a company-wide effort that we work on every day of the year, with the aim of ensuring we deliver quality content to our readership internationally.

“Scotland continues to remain important to The Drum as we grow around the world, and the many members of the company that work there will appreciate the recognition from the PPA especially.”

Elsewhere, The Big Issue is was named as Consumer Magazine of the Year and Business and Consumer Magazine went to Holyrood. Member magazine was awarded to Historic Scotland and the Sunday Post won Newspaper supplement for In10.
