'2018 is the year we tackle what’s wrong with the industry’: Predictions panel & party to highlight what to look for next

As the year ends, now is the time to look to the year ahead. Join The Drum and a panel of marketers from Diageo, Jun Group, Adara who will join in conversation about what technologies and strategies will shape advertising in 2018.

Hosted by Jun Group, the thought-provoking predictions panel and after party will feature an esteemed panel of guests, talking about what matters to your company, your clients, and your audiences. From finding your audience, to reaching that audience at the right time with the right message, our experts will explore the future of video advertising, people-based marketing, and more.

They will also react to top industry news stories and perspectives on key trends to consider for the upcoming year.

Adam Cohen-Aslatei, senior director of marketing for Jun Group said that he believes next year is the year “where we finally tackle what’s wrong with the industry: frauds, mobility, interruptive ads. And we make advertising better for the consumer, which benefits brands, publishers, and agencies.”

To Cohen-Aslatei, premium video content will be “moving from where brands were once only trying to get as many views as possible, to brands being getting more sophisticated at what they’re asking for.” Clients are looking for sustained awareness and recall, and to be considered in the same space as other brands that their audiences are interested in, he added.

Also offering his thoughts on the year ahead for marketers will be Jason Chebib, vice-president of consumer planning, Diageo North America.

These, and other future-molding ideas, are worth looking forward to at the end of the year, as well as holiday drinks, hors d'oeurves and mingling with fellow attendees. The Predictions event takes place at Jun Group at 6PM on Wednesday, 13 December.

The Drum 2018 Predictions party and panel is a FREE event and due to limited venue capacity, we would encourage early sign up. Register as soon as possible to guarantee your place by clicking here.
