Founder festival Bits & Pretzels ends association with Kevin Spacey after sexual allegations
In a statement, Bits & Pretzels explained that it could not stand by the reported behaviour of the House of Cards and The Usual Suspects star despite him being "a loyal business partner" for the event.
Spacey is accused of making sexual advances towards actor Anthony Rapp when he was only 14-years-old, with other accusations having also being reported since Rapp made his claims.
The full statement from Bits & Pretzels can be read below:
Dear friends!
We were shocked about the alleged behaviour by Kevin Spacey reported in the media over the past few days. We have met Kevin Spacey as a loyal business partner, who often helped us out personally and who shares the great vision of Bits & Pretzels with us. Without him, Bits & Pretzels would not be where it is today.
In light of the allegations against Mr. Spacey we have decided that he is currently not a suitable ambassador for Bits & Pretzels and will be suspending his partnership until more facts become available.
