Having served at the agency for a year, and before that SapientNitro, the industry veteran has jumped from the agency side to a startup called the Dots, which he has described as a LinkedIn for creatives.

He cited his time working at groups like Creative Equals, Hyper Island and Apps for Good as driving his passion to make workplaces more diverse. He added that he shares the same values as the Dots so the move makes sense. An existing relationship with the start-up’s chief executive Pip Jamieson helped solidify this.

In a Medium post, Harvey said: “There’s a lot of chaos in the creative industries right now. Brexit, AI automation, open war between agencies and consultancies to name a few issues. The community of creatives and recruiters that use the Dots will be at the tip of the spear of dealing with those changes. I can’t think of a better place to be in terms of seeing the #futureofwork play out. I expect to learn an awful lot.”

Jon Davie, chief executive of Zone updated The Drum on the situation at the company: "Matt Chokshi has been promoted to creative director, working alongside content director Gina Roughan to oversee the huge range of creative output that goes through the agency every week. We wish Dan all the best in his new venture – the Dots is a fantastic organisation."

Earlier this year Zone acquired digital agency Head to better tackle digital issues. At the time, Davie explained the post-Brexit acquisition as “ambitious but not reckless”.
