A partnership between Jamie Oliver and Jaguar Land Rover to enable cooking inside the car

Jaguar Land Rover has formed an alliance with British chef Jamie Oliver to create a bespoke kitchen in its Discovery vehicle.

As part of the partnership, Jaguar has produced a film featuring Jamie Oliver showcasing the integrated culinary gadgets in Discovery which includes a fridge, a toaster, a slow-cooker, a pasta maker and a deployable dining table.

The bespoke vehicle is created by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO).

Lisa Tookey, chief revenue officer and head of commercial partnerships at Jamie Oliver Group, said: “This is a beacon partnership for the Jamie Oliver business that showcases the breadth of Jamie's appeal and content, we want to continually inspire our audience with innovative storytelling, products and services."

"We always want to deliver the unexpected and believe that this partnership does just that whilst showcasing the future of food, technology and family life on the go.”

David Fairbairn, head of bespoke at SVO, said: “As a team, we never imagined we would be asked to produce wheels that churn butter so it has been great fun working alongside Jamie to bring his vision to life. He really wanted to push the boundaries of what was possible with this versatile vehicle and the team fully embraced the challenge."

Jamie Oliver's team earlier rolled out a Facebook chatbot to offer recipes via emojis.
