Hollywood star Cuba Gooding Jr has created a ‘Guide to new iPhone excitement’ in a new campaign for Australian telecommunications company Optus.
The ad sees Gooding showcase the range of emotions people feel about the new devices including running into stores, begging staff and suavely moonwalking in order to get his hands on the latest iPhone.
The campaign, which launches on Friday 22 September, aims to drum up excitement for the devices as well as highlight the brand’s product offers.
Optus managing director of marketing and product Ben White said: “To celebrate the excitement our customers feel when they purchase a new product, we thought it was fitting to ask one of the world’s most accomplished actors show you the funny as he gets the phone of his choice instore with Optus.”
“From the average person, to an Oscar-winning actor, everyone goes a little crazy about getting their hands on a new mobile device,” said White.
The campaign was created by creative agency Emotive.
