Filipino fast chain Jolibee is seeking to buy British sandwich company Pret A Manger from private equity firm Bridgepoint for a speculated $738m.

Jolibee, which is worth £3.79b (263 billion Philippine pesos), currently has a presence in the US, Middle East and Asia Pacific, where they have over a thousand stores, including Singapore. It had massive queues in the city-state when it opened in 2013.
Pret is available in the UK, France and the Middle East, and it is also has a presence in Asia Pacific with stores in Hong Kong, China and Singapore.
