Wunderman secures a UK group CEO in Stephan Pretorius

Stephan Pretorius becomes UK CEO of Wunderman

WPP digital agency Wunderman has appointed Stephan Pretorius to the position of UK group chief executive.

Pretorius will manage the full Wunderman business portfolio in the UK, this includes Acceleration, Burrows, Cognifide, Fusepump, Salmon, Wunderman London and newly consolidated Possible.

He will also continue in the role of chief technology officer, a position he secured in 2016 when he joined Wunderman with Acceleration, the martech consultancy he created in 1999. Wunderman has grown into one of the UK’s largest digital agencies having absorbed more than 1,000 staff in the last three years via a series of acquisitions.

Mel Edwards, Wunderman’s EMEA chief executive and UK chairman, said: “In the face of rapid change in digital marketing, clients are looking for simpler solutions spanning the full range of digital marketing.

“Stephan’s appointment is designed to support further collaboration and integration across our entire network of growing businesses in the UK.”
