The Drum Cream Awards celebrates 15 years of advertising creativity with Freytag Anderson, Gerry Farrell Ink, RRD and Wire

Freytag Anderson, Gerry Farrell Ink, RRD and Wire are joining The Drum Cream Awards in celebrating 15 years of recognising and rewarding the great creativity in advertising, design and digital from the Midlands, Wales and South West.

On the judging panel this year is Greig Anderson, partner, Freytag Anderson; Gerry Farrell, creative fixer, Gerry Farrell Ink; Corey Stewart, head of agency and creative director, RRD and Pam Scoobie, creative director, Wire with more to be announced.

Every year, the best homegrown agencies, in-house teams and brands come together to celebrate innovative work and compete for gold, silver or bronze honours, awarded by a prestigious judging panel.

Judge, Anderson said: “It’ll be really interesting to be on the other side of the awards for a change.

"I'm excited to see new work in the Cream Awards that I don't have any preconceptions or expectations of, from designers and agencies that I'm not necessarily familiar with. Im keen to look for the strength of a core idea and then how that idea has been developed and articulated through application.”

Talking about giving the "newbies" a chance, Farrell said: "The Cream Awards are vital because they force communications companies to aim higher and produce creative campaigns that win publicity for their clients’ brands. They give newbies a taste of what it’s like to beat the big boys and do the walk of fame.

"If they encourage more girls into the creative business that’ll be great too because I’m sick of men in suits at the top of organisations called ‘advertising agencies’."

Deadline extensions are open to those working in advertising, design and digital sectors as well as clients and in-house teams exclusively based in or submitting work produced for a client located in the Midlands, Wales and South West.
