Ad agency's mural for Mother! movie critisised for defacing cherished local artwork
An Australian ad agency has incurred the wrath of Melbourne citizens for painting over an iconic mural to promote Jennifer Laurence thriller Mother!

The Sydney Morning Herald reports that Apparition Media, caught some flak for painting over a cherish mural from a local artist to instead promote the movie.
It took the movie marketing campaign took to the streets with an impressive likeness of Lawrence but the replacement of the meaningful mural with an ad did not go down overly well.

The volatile incident birthed a lengthy apology from the agency that has enlisted the mural’s original artist to restore the work on the listed building.
The restoration has already started according to a Twitter user who documented the incident.
