Video content creator Intermission and entertainment marketing agency Think Jam have appointed Andrew Timms as executive producer in their first ever joint hire.

The appointment follows news in February of the companies joining forces to form an equity partnership, of which Timms will be a key conduit. Drawing on his 15 years’ experience in digital marketing, this role will see Timms working with both teams to ensure an innovative and fluid delivery of best in class video content for clients across all marketing services.

Starting his career in entertainment at Icon Film Distribution, Timms joined Substance Global in 2004 while the agency was in its infancy. During his 11 years he became a board member, directed a team of 15 and worked on award-winning campaigns for Avatar, Walk The Line, Starred Up, Gone Girl, Inception, Kingsman The Secret Service and The Lego Movie.

Sam Cryer, founder of intermission, remarked: “Andrew’s experience, creative understanding and existing client relationships will be invaluable to Intermission’s continued growth. He is key to unlocking and evolving the great potential in our nascent partnership with Think Jam"

Daniel Robey, founder and chief executive of Think Jam, added: “Andrew is a highly skilled producer with a keen creative eye and innovative flair. I’m excited about this new development which takes our partnership with Intermission to the next level”.

"I am genuinely excited about joining the teams at Intermission and Think Jam at this very exciting time,” stated Timms. “Both companies have built an excellent reputation for working collaboratively with some of the world’s biggest entertainment brands and producing a range of award-winning work, which has made a real impact. Their expertise and passion to find the most innovative and imaginative ways to marketing film and entertainment is totally aligned to my ambitions and I am truly excited about what the next few years have in store”.

Timms’ new role is effective of 24 July and he will be based at both Intermission and Think Jam’s London offices, working across all clients.
