What’s the Story? is a storytelling video series dedicated to learning what truly makes a great story, told through the lens of the world’s talent and practitioners of the craft in entertainment, marketing and beyond.

Caressa Douglas, senior vice president, content and branded integration at Branded Entertainment Network (BEN) has her own great stories.

The one that vaulted her to the stratosphere of brand integration leadership, which will be shared in depth in an upcoming episode of Exceptional Women of the World, is one straight out of Hollywood. The young Douglas had to prove herself to her first boss, who was demanding and stacked the odds against her. She not only persevered, but built a foundation for a highly-lauded career in brand integration and entertainment.

In this case, art truly could have imitated life and to Douglas, that’s what makes a great story — that connection that embraces all manner of the human condition. Moreover, she feels that the voices that we may not hear as much, especially in light of current affairs in the world, can make compelling stories.

The best story that Douglas has ever told mirrors her first work experience in Hollywood, and is deeply rooted in her growing up in Los Angeles, a place were people continually reinvent themselves. Much like many people in LA, she believed that she could do anything, and her hopes and dreams pointed her in a direction that has been most rewarding for her and the brands and creative professionals she works with on a daily basis.

What's the Story? is sponsored by Branded Entertainment Network (BEN), the first global network for branded product integration in the entertainment industry, across all media, including the influencer space.
