On this date Plumb will supplant incumbent Paul Harrison who is performing the role in an interim capacity until then, at which time he will resume his day job as chief financial officer.

Plumb joins Just Eat having left Moneysupermarket.com in May, where he served as CEO for a full eight years, a tumultuous tenure which included the digestion of rivals MoneySavingExpert.com and a commensurate six-fold increase in its share price.

Plumb himself commented: "I'm delighted to be joining Just Eat at such an exciting time. The talented team has built an innovative service into a truly international platform with clear leadership positions in many markets around the world. I look forward to working with the Just Eat family of employees and restaurant owners to help more people around the world enjoy the food they love, wherever they are and whenever they want."

In a varied career Plumb also worked with customer science firm dunnhumby, Disney and household appliance provider Dyson. He is also currently a non-executive director of The Co-operative Group.
