Facebook execs Sheryl Sandberg, Nicola Mendelsohn and Mark D'Arcy appear across four special covers of The Drum

Facebook executives Sheryl Sandberg, Nicola Mendelsohn and Mark D’Arcy feature across four special covers of The Drum as they combine to edit a special edition of the magazine.

Following the theme of makers and innovators, the three have put forward their ideas to The Drum’s editorial team and interviewed high profile marketing individuals such as Airbnb chief marketing officer Jonathan Mildenhall, BBH founders Sir John Hegarty, Nigel Bogle and John Bartle, as well as Chloe Gottlieb and Taras Wayner, the new creative heads at R/GA.

Also included in the issue is an Ask the Editors section where readers have posed questions to the three executives, while another feature examines the passion projects of senior professionals outside of the work place.

An in-depth exploration of emotional intelligence is taken to understand what creates a modern leader, while another piece examines how brands can successfully grow through their social media use. Alongside that are the regular Trending and Creative Works sections that appear in each issue, and a whole lot more.

Each of the three appear on their own front cover, while a fourth cover was shot featuring all three together. The images were shot by San Francisco-based, France-born photographer Olivier Le Blanc.

Speaking of the issue, editor Stephen Lepitak commented: “This has been a dream project for The Drum for some time and we were honoured to work with the three editors who gave up a great deal of their time and energy to making this one of the finest issues we have ever produced. I am certain that readers will love what has been created, as it feels like something very special indeed that I hope the whole marketing industry can enjoy with us.”
