Publicis Communications promotes Lizzie Dewhurst to global PR and communications director

Publicis Communications has named Lizzie Dewhurst as global PR and communications director, a new role that will see her made responsible for the messaging around the group’s creative agencies including Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi, Publicis Worldwide and Marcel, alongside several others.

Dewhurst, who previously led communications for Publicis London, will take on the newly created position and report to chief operating officer Justin Billingsley while also working with other communications chiefs within Publicis Groupe.

Billingsley said: “As we develop Publicis Groupe’s ‘Power of One’ vision it is imperative that we define the role of each brand in the offering as well as that of Publicis Communications as a whole. Lizzie will ensure that our communications are aligned within our creative agencies and to our clients.”

Dewhurst added: “I am truly excited to take up the new role and have the opportunity to work with Justin Billingsley as Publicis Communications goes from strength to strength. We have an outstanding heritage in our brands and I am looking forward to driving the profile of their offerings and Publicis Communications overall.”

She joined Publicis in 2014 having previously work for TBWA\New York and TBWA/Manchester as well as AKQA in London.
