Gillette launched its Venus Breeze product in an event in Delhi, using high profile brand ambassadors to 'debunk' myths about shaving, keeping in mind the evolved beauty needs of the Indian woman.

It’s razor has water activated moisture gel bars and is formulated with body butters with glycerin to provide smoothness, something that it's hoping will lure Indian women away from other forms of hair removal.

Actress and product endorser Kalki Koechlin was present at the event, along with celebrity dermatologist Rashmi Shetty and Bollywood make up artist Namrata Soni, who together aimed to take on myths associated with shaving.

Actress Kalki Koechlin, said: "Women can now look forward to a sensorial hair removal process versus painful waxing and harmful creams."

She further added, "It doesn't happen everyday that you get a chance to endorse a brand that you have been using and identify with. Being in the profession that keeps me on my toes, I always carry my Venus Breeze razor wherever I go. It is an important addition to my beauty kit."

Celebrity dermatologist Dr Rashmi Shetty, said: "Being a dermatologist, I can assure you that shaving is the most hygienic, skin friendly method of hair removal. It is extremely safe over other methods that have harsh chemicals and can permanently damage one's skin."
