The independent marketing services agency sector is once again set to be explored in the annual census conducted by The Drum.

Independent Agencies Census 2017

Independent Agencies Census 2017

In association with the Recommended Agency Register (RAR), The Drum Independent Agency Census provides the most comprehensive review of the UK’s best performing independently owned agencies, with the intention of highlighting the key players, trends and growth in this key group of agencies.

The research will be used in two separate publications; the Top 100 Independent Agencies list, and the Census report itself, which will include detailed financial rankings. It will also provide industry averages, opening up insights on how to benchmark and improve each business.

The research will be open to owner-managed businesses, small agency groups, single agency PLCs, and members of informal networks.

Diane Young, MD of the RAR, explained: "The census offers a unique insight into the health of the agencies that exist outside of the main holding companies and networks. These businesses offer a different model for clients and staff, using their flexibility to deliver more nimble solutions. They also make up a significant proportion of our industry in terms of employment and Billings. The census project takes the temperature of how they have performed in the last 12 months, and allows them to benchmark against each other."

To be included in the Census, entrants must be registered on the RAR website and have client ratings.

How to Enter

Complete the online survey here by Wednesday 17 May 2017. The report will subsequently be published in September 2017.
