Challenging the traditional holding company model, WE Communications has launched an alternative agency network spanning the media ecosystem.

WE Communications has launched The Plus Network in partnership with five specialist agencies and aims to offer a client-focused alternative to “the increasingly bureaucratic and investor-focused holding companies and agency monoliths".

Building on three long-standing agency partnerships with digital marketing firm GLG, branding agency Salt Branding and market research firm YouGov, WE has also brought in public affairs firm Interel and experiential marketing company Envy Create to offer clients integrated capabilities including paid, owned, earned, social, experiential and search.

“To accelerate a brand story today nimbleness is critical, as is the right set of experts who can set ground breaking ideas into motion across an ever expanding media ecosystem,” said Melissa Waggener Zorkin, chief executive and founder of WE Communications.

“Unlike traditional agency network models, The Plus Network is a unified proposition that puts client needs first – not leadership, whose main concern is next the next quarterly profit target.”

The group claims to be able to answer briefs in any combination of agencies best suited for the opportunity, and is already working with global blue-chip companies across technology, consumer and health sectors.
