DC Comics has jumped on board the streaming bandwagon with the launch of an as yet unnamed dedicated digital service from next year.

Reports suggest the new channel will provide a home to the third season of Warner Bros.’ animated Young Justice series in addition to a live-action take of DC’sTitans comics, the latter of which has few details available.

What is known is that it will be written and produced by Greg Berlanti, whose past credits include Political Animals, Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl, together with Akiva Goldsman – the screenwriter behind A Beautiful Mind.

They will be assisted by executive producers Geoff Johns and Sarah Schechter who hill help plot out the adventures of a group of teen superheroes centred on the character of Robin or Nightwing, played by Dick Grayson.

Described as an ‘immersive experience’ few other details are known about the show, although it will likely include a raft of side characters drawn from the likes of Starfire, Raven, Wondergirl, and Super Boy.

DC Comics rebranded last year with a homage to its 80-year long history in the comic book business.
