Stein IAS appoints Danny Turnbull as its new managing director, Europe

B2B marketing agency Stein IAS announced today the appointment of Danny Turnbull as managing director, Europe, who will lead growth plans for the company in the UK and on the Continent.

Turnbull joins Stein IAS after ten years leading gyro’s Manchester office. He will report to chief executive officer, Rob Morrice, and chairman and chief client officer, Tom Stein. The move coincides with a management restructure across the agency resulting in the formation of a 12-strong executive team that includes Turnbull.

“Danny is the first external director to join our senior team, which in itself shows the tremendous amount of respect and trust we have in him,” said Morrice. “He fits our culture like a glove, has a great pedigree in B2B marketing and has been warmly received by each and every employee across the agency.”

“In the universe top-class B2B agencies there will always be competitive rivalry. That’s certainly the case for Stein IAS and gyro over many years. That said, I’ve admired these guys greatly for some time,” Turnbull said.

“While you don’t switch camps without a heavy heart, particularly after many years at one agency, Stein IAS has made the transition pretty seamless for me. The shear warmth of feeling and breadth of talent here is staggering, so it’s exciting to be part of a winning team and bringing my know-how to bear.”

Stein IAS has also made another key appointment to its Paris office. Guillaume Rigal joins as director from Effinity, a French digital media group specializing in performance and influence marketing. Previously, he was chief marketing officer and head of B2B for Effinity.

“We have seen the B2B sphere expand and mature rapidly in continental Europe over the past five years. I have been very impressed with Stein IAS’ robust methodology and focus on B2B marketing, which I think fits perfectly with what the market demands”, says Rigal.
