Red Bull’s Andreas Gall takes on top innovation role
Red Bull Media House has promoted chief technology officer Andreas Gall to the role of chief innovation officer, which will see him take responsibility for innovation and change management at the organisation.
Red Bull Media promotes Gall
Gall has been at Red Bull since 2007, where he launched the drinks brand’s content arm Red Bull Media House and rose to the position of CTO.
In his new role, Gall will originate new ideas but also recognise "innovative ideas generated by other people" according to his LinkedIn profile .
He writes: “I also will manage (Media) Technological change. Either way, I will be the 'meeting-point/the innovation reception' – from there, we will give wings to the new and innovative ideas.”
Gall has pushed Red Bull to experiment with a number of new technologies and channels, most recently virtual reality (VR) and harnessing biometric data in its advertising.
Earlier this year Red Bull Media House launched its own VR platform, which hosts an array of sport, travel and music content designed to be viewed using a VR headset or by slotting a mobile into something like Google Cardboard.
