Social media star Alfie Deyes has joined the line-up for The Drum’s Future of Marketing event in London next month.
The YouTube sensation, who has amassed millions of followers to his ‘PointlessBlog’ and is listed as one of Debrett’s 500 Most Influential People in Britain, will provide an insider’s perspective on what marketers need to know about influencers.
He will share the secrets of how he likes to work with brands and tell the story behind a campaign he worked on with Direct Line, whose marketing director Mark Evans will join him on the panel.
The ‘Power of Influencers’ session will be hosted by Dom Burch, the former director of marketing innovation at Asda who now runs Why Social, and will also feature Maddy Chester, group talent manager at Gleam Futures, the company that represents Deyes and a host of other social media celebrities.
It is part of a packed agenda which also includes a keynote interview with one of Barack Obama’s closest communications advisers, Eric Schultz, and discussions involving marketers from the BBC, Lego, MasterCard and more.
The Future of Marketing takes place on Thursday 11 May at the America Square Conference Centre in London, and you can get tickets on the event website.
It is sponsored by Stein IAS, Oxford University’s Said Business School and Sysomos.
