Deliveroo rolls out an unspeakable Creme Egg pizza for Easter

Deliveroo Egg Pizza

It can be argued that chocolate and pizza represent the zenith of human culinary achievement and to mark this feat a Deliveroo supplier has produced a chocolate egg pizza.

The food ordering services supplier, Crust Bros, has rolled out a Cadbury Crème egg pizza, all in celebration of Easter.

In the week starting 7 April, this monstrosity, a savoury desert with a strawberry base and melted Crème Eggs, will be available to those using the app – presumably more of a Snapchatable life event rather than a palatable entrée.

At the very least, the brand can’t be accused of forsaking the sacred Christian celebration of Easter like egg-supplier Cadbury has…

Joe Groves, a Deliveroo spokesperson, told the Independent: “We know that people love to indulge in chocolate at Easter, and we wanted to come up with a creative way to help. Creme Eggs and Mini Eggs are a British institution and pizza has always been a firm favourite of Deliveroo customers.

“Combining them seemed mad at first, but we’re egg-static that we’ve created something both fun and delicious.”

It comes as the service continues to grow, last month it launched an app celebrating the opening of its 100th location in the UK.
