Video marketing company Eyeview has appointed Brian Katz as the vice president of advanced TV, insights and strategy the company announced this week.

Katz formerly served as senior vice president at TiVo and held multiple roles at NBCU cable and distribution units. He began his career at Paramount doing syndicated programming for UPN.

This appointment will be instrumental as Eyeview moves to own the outcome-based video marketing category.

Katz will lead Eyeview's team in retail, CPG, auto and travel clients with the goal of making addressable TV approachable to marketers. Eyeview's CRO Jason Baadsgaard notes that while clients want to do more with addressable TV, they still find it complicated and cumbersome and struggle to establish best practices.

"Brian's expertise makes him a great advocate for marketers looking to expand their TV options," said Baadsgaard. "We are at a key inflection point in video advertising, where marketers have become frustrated with current platforms and traditional measurement. Brian's experience is a boon as we push the industry towards targeted solutions."

"I am thrilled to be joining the Eyeview team and being able to offer solutions across all forms of video, along with the outcomes, is very powerful. I am fortunate to be serving many of the same F500 brands I've historically partnered with in the past."
