Mars Chocolate's global media director, Marc Zander, has jumped ship to Teads to lead the client partnerships team for the video ad marketplace.
Zander will join the firm's commercial leadership division as global vice-president of client partnerships where he will galvanize the company’s efforts to work more closely with advertisers to increase their investments in the space.
With 25 years' experience in the industry, Zander has worked for several major FMGC companies including Kimberly-Clark and Nestle. More recently he spent five years at Mars Chocolate where he first joined as marketing director and progressed to global media director.
"We are thrilled to have someone with Marc's experience join our team,” said Bertrand Quesada, Teads chief executive, adding that Zander's knowledge of global clients and agencies would be "invaluable" in helping Teads accelerate the growth of outstream video.
The Drum has reached out to Mars Chocolate to confirm reports that Zander will not be directly replaced and that current bars segment director Mike Davies will take on an overall responsibility for UK media in addition to his current duties.
