YouTube TV will cost $35-a-month and let viewers watch live programs from ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and ESPN
With a price tag of $35-a-month YouTube TV will cost half the amount of regular cable packages, and contain programming from some premium broadcasters including ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and ESPN, as well as a host of regional sports networks and other cable networks.

YouTube TV was unveiled earlier today (28 February) in a blog post penned by Christian Oestlien, YouTube product management director. He revealed that TV favorites such as Empire and The Big Bang Theory, as well as live showings of NBA and MLB games, would be available. Additionally customers can add Showtime or Fox Soccer Plus for an additional cost, bringing the entire number of networks available to subscribers to 40.
“We’ve also partnered with local TV stations, so you’ll also get sports and local news based on where you live. And YouTube TV offers dozens of additional cable channels, so you won’t miss out on the latest news from MSNBC or Fox News, popular shows and movies from USA or FX, kids programming from the Disney Channel or Sprout, or reality TV from E! or Bravo,” reads the post.
YouTube TV comes with a cloud-based DVR that will let subscribers record as much programming as they want the service available on all screens, and the subscription plan occurring on a monthly rolling basis, with no minimum commitments.
