Daimler pours tens of millions into smartphone vehicle finance app AutoGravity

German automotive giant Daimler has announced it is to pour tens of millions of euros into smartphone-based vehicle finance app AutoGravity as it doubles down on efforts to build a digital platform for financial services.

AutoGravity has become a popular port of call for American car buyers who can use the app to locate tailored buying and leasing offers.

Dozens of vehicle brands and models have signed up for the service, which pairs up financial service providers and car manufacturers to offer consumers vehicle financing and leasing – all from their own smartphone.

These brands include Rolls-Royce, Cadillac, Bentley and BMW.
