Jill Easterbrook, the former top marketer and chief transformation officer at Tesco, has joined clothing brand Boden as chief executive.
Easterbrook spent 15 years at Tesco in a number of different roles, including group strategy director and managing director for clothing. However, with the arrival of Dave Lewis to the business, she became the group’s top marketer in 2014 but was then swiftly replaced by Robin Terell – who has now also departed – just six months later.
She then took on the role of group transformation director before leaving the business in December 2015.
Since then, she has served as non-executive director on the board of Auto Trader in the UK.
Easterbrook replaces Julian Glanville as chief executive at Boden. Glanville will take the position of executive chairman while founder Johnnie Boden becomes creative director.
It comes as Boden struggles following a 25 per cent drop in annual profits last year. Pre-tax profits were down to £23.9m in the year to 31 December 2015 from £32m the previous year, despite an increase in sales from £280.7m to £283m.
