Advertising agency Fallon opened its doors in New York City today, expanding its geographic footprint.

John King will lead the New York office as president, effective today. King previously served as chief marketing officer of Fallon in its Minneapolis headquarters.

"John King is 'all in' on Fallon, and he will create the kind of culture that will allow creativity to flourish," said Fallon chief executive Mike Buchner.

Fallon New York will operate as a specialized creative shop initially focused on beauty, fashion and luxury brands. It acquired AR New York's beauty category expertise, specialized talent, and roster of clients, including its largest – Revlon.

"We plan to retain the institutional knowledge of the beauty world from the former AR New York team, pairing it with the iconic creativity Fallon is known for, bringing a little punk rock to the luxury, fashion, and beauty space," said King.

David Israel, formerly of AR, will continue as executive creative director of the New York office, working with Fallon's chief creative officer, Jeff Kling. "I love Fallon New York developing from a beauty background. I harbor tremendous enthusiasm for what we can do," said Kling.

Fallon New York will occupy office space in New York City's SoHo at 375 Hudson.
