The executive will report to the network's executive vice-president and chief financial officer Jean-Michel Etienne and will oversee financial planning, account, financial data systems among other duties.
Carozzi will also support the financial aspects of the holding group's 'Power Of One' model that has seen it reorganise its brands into four hubs: creative, media, technology and healthcare.
Carozzi has spent the last 12 years at media giant Lagardere Group, first joining as investors relations director, before being appointed as head of group financial control. Since 2011, he has focused on the restructuring of the sports and entertainment business unit as chief financial officer and member of the executive committee.
The news follows on from Publicis' announcement that head of Publicis Communications, Arthur Sadoun, will replace Maurice Levy as chairman and chief executive of Publicis Groupe in June.
Levy, who has been chief executive of the firm for 30 years, will now take on the role of chairman of the supervisory board.
