TaylorMade releases first ad featuring new signee Tiger Woods
Golf equipment maker TaylorMade hit the big time when it signed longtime Nike club and ball endorser Tiger Woods to use and endorse TaylorMade clubs. The brand took no time in introducing a new ad featuring the famed golfer, with its “Welcome to the FaMily” spot.
The 15-second ad shows Woods taping his fingers, teeing up a ball, lining up his driver and smacking it down the fairway. He spins the club then places it back in the bag with his signature tiger head club cover. The spot then fades to black with a tagline “#1 is Never Done,” before saying “Welcome to the Family.”
Created by Zambezi in Los Angeles, it is simple in its approach — and intriguing in that it combines the iconic Nike swoosh, Woods' own Nike line logo and Adidas-owned (for now) TaylorMade in the same frame.
