HSBC has moved to clarify that while it has picked Publicis-owned Saatchi & Saatchi it will continue to work with WPP’s JWT. The bank has tasked the creative shop to craft a new brand positioning for the business that will also span its advertising at airports worldwide.

Hyundai has appointed R/GA London to lead the strategy, creative and development of a communications plan and connected ecosystem for the car manufacturer's global launch of its new ‘N performance line-up’ of cars in 2017. R/GA London will be partnering with Hyundai’s global team based in Seoul, South Korea.

UKTV put a tender out for its eight-figure media planning and buying account. Rocket, which has overseen UKTV’s media account since 2008, will be invited to repitch. Pitches will begin from next month, the review led by ISBA and Ebiquity. A final decision will be made by the end of Q2.

Molson Coors chose Havas to work as creative agency for its beer brand Carling. The agency was appointed following a competitive pitch process, supported by ISBA, which ended this week.

Mobile social networking platform Momo has appointed TBWA Shanghai to manage its creative and brand strategy account. Momo has tasked TBWA Shanghai with developing a 'fast-moving creative process' to transform the brand’s communications as it looks to drive growth in 2017.

Merck Consumer Healthcare has tapped Starcom as its global media agency partner. Following a competitive pitch and “an appropriate transition period” from Arena Media, the agency will take up responsibility for brands including Neurobion, Bion3, Nasivin, Seven Seas, DoloNeurobion and Femibion. The account is worth an estimated £50m.

Ingersoll Rand appointed Indianapolis-based creative agency Young & Laramore to the creative accounts for its brands Trane and American Standard Heating and Air Conditioning.

Travel trust organisation ABTOT has appointed brand PR agency Rooster as its first PR and social media agency since the association was launched in 1993.
