Over the past year, Twitter has been focusing on livestreaming partnerships and products, and the efforts have paid off.

The joint Twitter-PBS Newshour Inauguration Day livestream reached 6,824,000 million unique viewers (peaking at 377,000 concurrent viewers), making it the social platform's most-viewed livestream to date. Before Inauguration Day, the most-viewed Twitter livestream was BuzzFeed and Twitter’s election night coverage.
