YouTube star Stuart Edge makes magic with his videos and his people on the streets segments show him to be an engaging interviewer as well, which is why social content company Shareability and non-profit Pets Add Life enlisted him to help find out which pet makes the best wingman.

In the entertaining video, Which Pet Makes the Best Wingman?, Edge and his pal Jen take to a busy LA-area beach with four different animals – a kitten, a dog, a bunny and a large lizard – to see how many people of the opposite sex they can get to stop and talk with them as they hold the individual animals.

While the bunny gathered a few crowds, the dog pleased plenty and the kitten softened hearts, it was the lizard that actually won the day. The placid, scaly creature was more than an oddity, it actually drew in plenty of women to Edge. Some were justifiably freaked out at first, but in the end, the lizard was victorious, even getting Edge a date in Sweden by a blonde who was fascinated by the winning wingman. All in all, it showed that pets can not only be great friends but also great wingmen.

Pets Add Life is a non-profit campaign dedicated to sharing the benefits and joys of pet ownership and increasing awareness of the bonds created by owning pets and other rewards associated with pets.

The social campaign features the Wingman video on YouTube and Facebook, plus a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the video.
