Birmingham based communications agency One Black Bear has appointed Bron Eames as its new PR Director.
Eames is a strategic PR heavyweight with over 30 years' experience working across consumer and business to business markets and especially food & drink, construction, transport and leisure retail. She is currently chair of CIPR Midlands and has also chaired the PRCA in the Midlands.
Most recently at Speed Communications, Eames was managing director of Huntsworth Group’s Haslimann Taylor (now Grayling) for 14 years and has also worked at Big Communications in Leicester.
Discussing her new role Eames said: “It’s fantastic to join One Black Bear at such an exciting time. After the crazy year that was 2016, I guess nothing will be a surprise, but whatever happens in terms of the political or economic agenda, the communications industry needs to deliver cut through, it needs to be flexible, responsive and accountable. Clients want ideas. And to be able to offer a great creative product that can then be implemented and amplified by whatever discipline is needed all under one stunning, high ceiled Old School House roof, is a great place to be.”
Joining Eames is Ben Baker-Hollyhead, with five years’ industry experience. Ben’s experience covers the construction, retail, property, education and transport sectors, having worked with national brands and specialist clients.
One Black Bear's co-founder Jon Harrison said the recent appointments: “Our ability to offer PR services is important for linking together all facets of One Black Bear and creating a full-service communications package. The PR arm of the agency is key to growth in the next chapter of the One Black Bear story and we’re excited to have Bron on board to lead it.”
Based at Fazeley Studios in Birmingham, One Black Bear was recently chosen as the lead creative agency for National Express. Other clients include University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, The Camping and Caravan Club and Honda Motorcycles.
