Connect, the Midlands-based marketing agency, has announced the strengthening of its strategic offering with the appointment of Joanne Scott as strategy director.

The agency closed out 2016 by announcing that on the back of a number of new business wins and the delivery of a range of projects for clients such as Finning International, GRS Roadstone and Marstons it would be increasing ts staff numbers at its Birmingham and Wolverhampton offices by 30%.

Leading a team of planners and researchers, Scott heads up the insight team and will assume all responsibility for the strategic side of the business.

Scott adds a host of client-side experience with global organisations such as Volvo, Berghaus, Nissan and Barclays and more recently has taken on digital responsibility agency-side with international brands including Red Bull and Hyundai.

Commenting on the new appointment, Connect partner Jose Espinosa, said: “Joanne’s rich experience combined with her knowledge of transmedia marketing will bolster our offering and further strengthen our mission to become a leading international strategic marketing partner.”
