Music streaming service Spotify was no doubt aware of comments made by Barack Obama that he would like to work with the company once his time as president comes to a Donald Trump-shaped end later this month.

Making good on the comments, Spotify has made a none-too-subtle nod to Obama, posting a new job opportunity called ‘President of Playlists’.

The listing reads: “Spotify is growing globally, and we are now looking for a President of Playlists. In this position you will be overseeing our music curation and playlists team, across offices around the world. Spotify started in Sweden in 2006, but we’re now in over 60 countries and counting. As an organization, we are full of hope, and always open to change.”

Restricting the listing to only one man was the prerequisites that the applicant must have “eight years experience running a highly-regarded nation,” “have good relationships with a wide range of artists and musicians,” “can speak passionately about playlists at press events,” and finally “Someone with good team spirit, excellent work ethic, a friendly and warm attitude, and a Nobel Peace Prize”.

You can read the listing here. There’s also the option to apply for the job although it’s unlikely you’re the candidate chief executive Daniel Ek is looking for.

Obama is still to respond to the job offer which was tweeted by Ek.
