Endemol Shine has hired AOL's head of branded content, James Hayr to become head of global sales in the UK.
Hayr, who joined AOL in August 2014, has been tasked with "producing best in class video content for brands in the UK and internationally through access to the company's global award-winning roster of TV production companies and digital creative businesses," according to his LinkedIn profile.
At AOL, Hayr was in charge of the company's UK content division, Partner Studio, where he led the team in creating branded content campaigns for clients. Prior to that, he held the post of head of creative at Kinetic Seven and has also worked as creative head of advertising solutions at Microsoft.
A spokesperson for AOL confirmed Hayr's departure, and added that Mark Melling, director of video and branded content for EMEA would now lead Partner Studio.
