Tangent, the creative technology agency, has stumped up £1m to acquire Decibel Digital, the experience design agency, in a move geared toward bolstering its user experience offer.

This will include an exclusive arrangement between Tangent and Decibel Insight, the agency’s advanced visual and behaviour analytics tool, to achieve just that.

Oliver Green, Tangent’s fresh in post managing partner, said: "Our acquisition of Decibel Digital lays down a marker that we are enhancing our creative capabilities because we see a clear demand from our existing and future client base. Decibel's accomplished team will complement our first-class development abilities and new creative department."

Richard Trigg, creative & UX director at Decibel Digital added: “Today’s online customer has become more demanding, less forgiving and accesses websites across a number of different devices. Our capabilities in research, UX design and conversion rate optimisation will marry well with Tangent’s strategic, creative and technical innovation."

Tangent already provides user experience services to the likes of Microsoft, L’Oreal and Dogs Trust.
