Last year, actor and cancer survivor Javier Muñoz took on the lead role of Alexander Hamilton in the hit Broadway musical Hamilton. The acclaimed actor is now starring in a clever short film for fashion brand Geoffrey Beene, which gives 100% of its net profits to the Geoffrey Beene Cancer Research Center at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

In the black and white ad, Muñoz is seen running through the streets of New York City while his voice narrates the thoughts that are going through his head. His thoughts are mostly mundane tasks that he needs to complete, like picking up milk and giving his mom a call.

While the thoughts in Muñoz’s head aren’t particularly interesting, the point of the ad becomes strikingly clear when text appears on the screen that reads, “A year ago he had only one thing on his mind. Surviving Cancer.”
