Manchester City is offering its fans a unique behind the scenes perspective on the club after acquiring a pair of Snapchat Spectacles.

City is the first Premier League club to use the new device and has begun using it on matchdays to offer supporters exclusive content from a first-person point-of-view.

The glasses will be worn by the club’s Snapchat host who will give fans an inside look at all the matchday action, including player arrivals and warm ups.

Manchester City have become the first club to use the Snapchat Spectacles

Manchester City’s Snapchat host was chosen earlier this season when the club partnered with its gaming sponsor, EA Sports, to select a fan to run the club’s content on the platform.

The Snapchat Spectacles activation marks a continuation of City’s efforts to partner with tech focused brands who can help facilitate the club’s efforts to be seen as the most innovative football club.

This has entailed projects like hosting a hackathon, becoming the first club to launch a chat bot and launching a club app on Amazon’s Fire TV service.
