Digital agency DAC Group has acquired German agency, ad ×media, as it continues to grow its international footprint.
Toronto-based DAC Group already has six North American offices and two offices in the UK, having acquired London’s Make It Rain last year and Scotland’s Ambergreen last month. ad ×media will become DAC/Germany in the coming weeks.
Norm Hagarty, chief executive officer and managing partner of DAC Group, said: “Our focus at DAC Group is helping national brands with a distributed network of agents, stores or locations – where sales at the regional or local level are critical to success – build an effective digital presence and drive results. As we expand, we are partnering with agency partners who deeply understand and appreciate that philosophy. There is a strong cultural fit with ad ×media, which makes them an exciting addition to DAC Group.”
ad ×media is privately owned and operated by Daniel Richter, who founded the agency in Munich in 2011. Over the course of his career, Richter has worked with major technology players in Germany and his expertise in this space makes him exceptionally well-suited to rolling out DAC Group’s proprietary digital technology offerings to German marketers.
Joining the DAC Group will enable Richter to expand on his agency’s core services and access sophisticated technology that optimizes local, social, and multi-device campaigns and helps brands reach consumers and build connections by telling the right story to the right people at the right time.
Richter said: “Being part of DAC Group with their specialist technology will significantly differentiate us in the German market. From our first discussions with DAC Group we realized that being part of a larger, privately-owned agency group would be the perfect fit. Their products and technology will enable us to deliver value in the local digital space to existing and new clients. We are very excited to join such an exciting and inspiring company and team”
