According to Vice, Bergen “led over 50 multidisciplinary creatives across 19 Omnicom companies to pitch, and win, the billion-dollar business.” Before joining the McDonald’s effort, Bergen served as EVP-executive creative director and head of digital at Omnicom agency Energy BBDO.

Working out of Vice’s Los Angeles office, Bergen will oversee brand creative and develop branded programs for the company’s digital channels, mobile programming and TV channel. He will report to Vice’s chief commercial & creative officer Tom Punch.

“Sam has a great track record of creating award winning campaigns at the intersection of entertainment and advertising and has an entrepreneurial spirit that I’m confident will help push our West Coast business forward,” said Punch in a statement. “We’re delighted to have him on board.”
