Freethink, a publication focused on "stories from the frontiers," launched its new series Challengers today, in partnership with Fast Company Magazine that highlights startup companies with disruptive potential across a variety of industries, including global trade, artificial intelligence, energy, education and virtual reality.

"There's an incredible wave of new entrepreneurs determined to improve life for everyone through their businesses," said Clay Broga, co-founder of Freethink. "We're committed to telling their stories in a way that will inform, challenge and inspire viewers — and we can't think of a better partner than Fast Company to join us in that mission."

Over the course of five episodes, Freethink filmmakers give viewers access to companies like Vicarious, which (with the support of Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos) is determined to create human-level artificial intelligence to solve the world's most intractable problems; Transatomic, which is designing a method of nuclear energy to meet the world's growing energy needs; and AltSchool, which is building a new school system to transform education for all children.

"Fast Company tells the stories of individuals and how their innovative thinking transforms industries and moves the culture forward," said Bill Shapiro, Fast Company's director of editorial and new business enterprises. "Freethink's Challengers series perfectly captures that spirit."
