This year’s awards, which were sponsored by Fepe International and livedooh.com, marked a major change since their inception in 2012, with the entries being opened internationally for the first time.

Trevor Beattie was appointed as chairman and singled out Publicis London for notable praise for its Doors Of Thrones’ campaign.

The ad agency’s work for Tourism Ireland celebrated Ireland’s pivotal role in the popular TV series Game of Thrones. After Storm Gertrude destroyed numerous trees along Ireland’s 400 year-old tourist attraction, The Dark Hedges, Publicis came up with the idea to use the wood to design 10 beautifully crafted spoke doors, each depicting an episode from the sixth season of the show.

The doors were then installed in the local pubs of a Game of Thrones filming location, forming a tour through season six which spans the length and breadth of Ireland.

News UK’s in-house agency Pulse Creative won the Grand Prix Award for its Tournamental campaign for the Sun. Its standout work used digital screens across the UK deliver live reactions to matches at Euro 2016 in France.

Another of the winners were Forward Media UK which secured the Best Multi-Platform/Media Campaign for its work with O2, while DOOH.COM, Kinetic WorldWide UK, TMW Unlimited and Mindshare received the Best Digital Campaign Award for its Lynx/Calm Bigger issues creative.

In order to ensure the best work was recognised, The Drum recruited some of the most impressive names in the business to preside over the entrants including Ann Wixley from OMD, Becky Power from Mindshare and John Ellery from FEPE International.

The full list of winner can be found here.
